She was an amazing dog, absolutely brilliant, very loving but also low maintenance. We wanted to have a litter with her because she was such a good dog, so she went into heat twice but got infected and we had to fix her. So babies sadly weren’t going to happen for her. Shortly after all this, a cat we were given (that was supposed to be fixed) had a litter of kittens. all animals go to him, no one else has a chance. Well….the cat would leave the kittens with the poodle while did she her thing and the poodle let them, nurse. A few days pass, and momma cat started nursing as well. The kittens preferred the momma but would latch on to the poodle if momma wasn’t around. Then sometimes the momma would drink from the poodle while she would nurse her kittens…it was quite the sight. My grandad was a veterinarian and my mom worked as his assistant for many years so she knows her stuff.
