Hence I assumed that the majority of these immigrants were not orthodox. Where am I wrong? Many Jews from more soviet states are agnostic/atheist/secular. They are more inclined to eat dairy and meat, or pork, and not keep religious traditions. Now they still are orthodox Jews (although many Russian jews suffer from discrimination from the orthodox rabbinate due to “not being truly Jewish”).
