As someone who Nice Autism No Flaw In The Code Different Operating System Shirt has been diagnosed with Asperger’s, this pisses me off. I’ve been suffering for years because of it. The worst part isn’t the social awkwardness or difficulty to find friends, but the natural lack of empathy. Aspies can feel compassion towards people and generally care about them in a more practical sense but are unable to truly empathize with people. The worst feeling I have ever felt was how empty and unemotional I get when people I care about are in pain. I feel horrible that I feel nothing at the plight of those I care for, even if I do care.
