In book 4, she drinks a glass of blood as a human. Not as a vampire but as a human because the monstrosity she calls a baby inside her demands it. She doesn’t gag or anything. She doesn’t resist the idea. In fact, she’s so gung-ho about it that she asks for another glass.

So applying that to Bruce Wayne killing dozens in the hideout while trying to escape, it seems clear to me that he acted in self-defense and attempted to escape the second he refused to execute the farmer. The entire time spent after refusing to execute the man, he is under relentless attack from multiple people.
